Saltmarsh Dental
A dentist and a patient sitting and talking in a treatment room before anything starts

Calm, thorough dentistry in Whitstable.

A small, independent NHS and private practice a short walk from the harbour. Whatever brings you in, start where it fits.

A neighbourhood practice, not a chain.

Saltmarsh Dental is one practice, in one place, run by the people who own it.

Priya opened the doors on Harbour Street in 2015 with a simple idea: a local practice where you see the same faces each visit and nobody feels rushed. That hasn’t changed.

Come in, have a look around, and meet the people who’ll look after you.

Reception, Whitstable.

Unhurried, and explained as we go

We’re deliberately small, so we can take the time to listen, explain what we can see in plain words, and make sure you’re comfortable before anything starts.

  • The same familiar faces each visit
  • Digital X-rays and 3D scanning where they help
  • A clear cost before any treatment begins

Who you’ll see

Three people look after Saltmarsh Dental. You’ll get to know all of them.

We’re deliberately small. That means we can take the time to explain things properly, remember your name and your history, and treat the whole family from the first baby-tooth check-up to the trickier work later in life.

All FAQs

Are you taking new NHS patients?

We are accepting new NHS patients when availability allows. Call us and we will tell you honestly what we can offer and how long the wait is.

How much does NHS treatment cost?

NHS charges are set nationally in bands, and our fees page shows the current NHS England charges. Some people, such as under-18s and pregnant women, don’t pay. Check whether you qualify on nhs.uk.

How much does a private check-up cost?

Our private check-up and hygiene appointment is from the price on our fees page. You always get a written cost before any treatment.

Are you open on Saturdays?

Yes. We’re open Saturday mornings, and late on Thursdays until 8pm. Current hours are at the bottom of every page.

Do you see emergency patients the same day?

We hold appointments aside each day for emergencies and do our best to see you the same day. Out of hours, call NHS 111 for urgent dental advice.
